READING LOG #4 1) the conflict of the book "THE GREAT WAVE" is a giant wave that devoured Oregon into pices and that a boy name Jacob and his sister Emily are running for their lives to escape the tsunami. This is a character vs nature becase they're fleeing from a tsunami. 2) my favoraite character in this story is Jacob because he protects his sister and he is very responsible as a boy."I will do whatever i can to protect you" he said. He is a protagonist and major and dynamic because he is first mad with his sister and is doing bad in school then after the conflict it's the complete opposite. 3)What the author did that was interesting is that when the wave was about to hit he described the people as they were running away like"they ran for their lives but not fast enough" 4)Jabbed,V,To poke or thrust abruptly. The student jabbed me with his pencil. 5)I would recommend this book for a class book commercial IF you want to describe everything that's happening during the conflict.

1)The conflict in the book "A boy at war" is that during Dave's visit to dad Japanese planes attacked pearl harbor and he needs to escape!This is a character vs society because the Japanese are attacking pearl harbor. 2) my favorite character is David because he is very brave and overcomes hard challenges. 3)He used onomonapiea to describe the bombing sounds. 4)Hull, noun , front part of a ship.

1)the conflict in the book "the 3 mighty elephants" is that during world war 2 the japanese had to kill all the animals in the zoo so that they wouldn't have to worry about them in the atom explosion but one of the zoo keepers is taking care of 3 elephants. this is a characher vs society because the zookeeper doesn't like the rules the goverment gives them.
2)My favorite characher is the zookeeper because he secetly takes care of all animals until the very end. He is dynamic and is the protagonist of the story.
3)The author uses quotation marks when he talked to the animals.
4)zookeeper,noun,a personwho feeds and tends animals in a zoo. So the zookeeper decided to help the animals.
5)I would recomend this book because it shows to be passionable for other people and animals.
